Shane is a mortgage broker and a director of Equita Financial Serives Pty Ltd. He is also a full member of the MFAA (Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia) and holds Accredited Mortgage Consultant status with this organisation, meaning that he has met their minimum education, experience and ongoing development requirements.
Aside from his passion for great service, one of Shane's major points of difference from most mortgage brokers is that he is also a fully qualified and licensed financial planner. Experience
Shane has over a decade of experience in financial services, both in Australia and abroad in London. Shane's experience in mortgage lending includes roles in sales, compliance, product development and management, with major Australian companies including the NAB, Suncorp and BMM. Shane has also worked with insurance and investment companies including ING and IAG.
Knowledge
Shane's knowledge of financial services extends beyond simply completing the minimum education requirements for financial planners and mortgage brokers. Shane's previous roles have required a far greater knowledge of the industry and the products he deals with.
Shane has a genuine interest in financial markets and the greater economy. When not dealing directly with his clients, Shane is researching the markets and new developments within the industry to ensure his clients are always kept informed of the latest opportunities available to them.
Shane is always looking to increase his knowledge, and is currently completing post-graduate studies towards a Master of Applied Finance, a qualification that will set him further apart from the pack.
Passion
Knowledge and experience is nothing without passion. Despite a successful career in finance, Shane's passion for helping clients achieve their goals led him to create Equita Financial. No longer willing to deal with the constraints of working for a corporation, Shane realised that the only way to provide the service he felt his clients deserved was to branch out on his own.
